Benin Film Academy is first of its kind, an initiative of Igbinedion University, Okada and Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen’s Nollywood 101. According to the Director of the Academy, BFA is the gateway to the heart of Nollywood.
The convocation took place at Kada Cinema, Benin City. The event which was attended by large section of industry practitioners and other dignitaries was described by the proprietor as a dream come true. This event follows the recent dogma of Benin Rising, which tends to promote Benin Culture through arts and entertainment.
The convocation also took place the same time and venue where one of the Film products of the Academy and the founder was premiered. The film entitled Crushed is one of such masterpiece from the stable of the founder, Mr. Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen.
