60 years of Age: “I hope u can still give birth” Actress Dupe Jaiyesimi confesses about her hopefulness.

Veteran Yoruba actress, Dupe Jaiyesimi, has shared the deeply personal struggles she has faced over the years, revealing the pain of childlessness, a lost pregnancy, and the heartbreak of an abandoned marriage.

The actress expressed herself in an interview hosted by Adebayo Bisola on the show ‘Talk to B’. She shared how her lifetime journey has been filled with pain and sorrow.

She recalled the heartbreak of losing a long-awaited pregnancy at the age of 40 and how doctors discovered that the baby was growing outside her womb, leaving her devastated.

“I questioned God, I won’t lie. After so many years of waiting, that pregnancy meant everything to me,” she shared.

Her challenges extended beyond personal struggles, as she also faced professional turmoil while working at a news media company.

Despite caring for many children over the years, she lamented that none looked back to appreciate and honour her. Attempts to adopt were also blocked by her mother, who firmly opposed the idea.

The actress also recounted her painful marriage experience, revealing that after she suffered a miscarriage, her husband distanced himself from her, even using a pillow to separate their bodies in bed. Just two weeks after she moved out, he remarried.

“That experience broke me. I even turned to drinking. After that, I vowed never to marry again,” she revealed.

The actress also disclosed her struggles with failed IVF attempts, financial instability, and the declining state of the theatre industry.

“I pray I don’t suffer in my old age. It’s been seven years since I last worked. Even when I produce movies, marketers fail me, and I make no money,” she lamented.

Despite her painful experiences, Jaiyesimi remains hopeful, saying, “If there is life, there is hope.”
