People who went for the just concluded AMVCA 2020 Ceremony are adviced to self Isolate. A suspected case of Coronavirus in Nigeria may have attended and fratenized with other celebrities at the event.
This scare of Coronavirus in Nigeria comes after Documentary Producer Ifeoma Chukwuogo took to her Twitter page to call out a man, who she has refused to name, whom she claims flew in from UK to attend the event and is down with Coronavirus symptoms.
She revealed that this man interacted with several celebrities and several other people at the event.
When further probed by another producer Priye Diri, Ifeoma Chukwuogo reveals that she even has ‘receipts’ to back up her claims.
This report sends ripples down the spine of those who attended, took pictures with celebrities, shook hands and so on. Its amazing to believe that Amidst all the glitz and glamour was a case of coronavirus in Nigeria.
She later added: “UPDATE: Called the NCDC help line. Spoken to a rep, provided preliminary information. Will follow up first thing in the morning. Only delayed on calling for some hrs to properly verify some info first. Because didn’t want to 1: clog phone lines and 2: give wrong info.”
She then issued a warning, writing: “In the meantime, if you attended the AMVCAs , please self isolate immediately. If you have come in close contact with anyone who did, to be safe also self-isolate and watch yourself for some days.
“Nollywood needs to shut down productions, I hear some producers are refusing this and honestly nothing is worth that Yes, there’ll be major financial losses and it really sucks but it’s happening globally, that’s life as we know it now. We’re in the middle of a freaking pandemic.”
Luckily, some celebrities came prepared for the Pandemic.
Lagos already has a number of Coronavirus confirmed cases which seem to be adding up day by day.
Celebrities wearing masks to events is not exactly new. As both international and local celebrities were spotted with the fashionable masks all over the world.
