Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN) the umbrella body housing all Television and Film Directors in Nigeria led by Mr. Fred Amata has agreed with the government of Ogun State to host an all inclusive mega convention at Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Speaking after a delegate of the guild sealed the deal with the state government, Mr. Amata briefed an insider that this will be the first time in the history of the guild and Nollywood, that all road will lead to the tourism friendly capital.
In the meeting, the SSG and Commissioner for Information who represented the state government assured the guild their willingness to host the event.
The event which is tagged Nollywood-Ogun Fiesta 2018 is billed to hold from 11th to 13th April 2018. The event will see the Governor declaring it open, and will parade lots of stars from the movie industry.
Directors Guild of Nigeria will also during the convention elect officials into the Executive Committee of the guild, and also induct new members. The fiesta will see the Nollywood FC made up of distinguished talents in the film and entertainment industry play against the Governors team.
It promises to be fun, and will present a good atmosphere to network and unwine.
