FilmMart Institute Reveals Candidates For DFMI Business Lab (3rd Edition)

A recent announcement by the Durban FilmMart Institute (DFMI) has revealed the 35 lucky candidates selected, from 22 different African countries, to participate in the 3rd edition of the DFMI Business Lab. This announcement typically follows a storm of applications received and reviewed by the institute.

For a period of 3 months (12 weeks) the selected candidates will undergo a rigorous business development training bordering on modules like IP & Entertainment Law, Business Management, Financial Management, Co-production & Distribution.

Anchored by industry experts and key professionals in the filmmaking world, the training seeks to empower potential producers and filmmakers as well as equip them with the skills and expertise required to effectively engage in the global market.

The DFMI Business Lab, presented in partnership with DW Akademie and supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Corporation and Development, will commence its online program in October 2023.
