Funke Akindele and her husband have been sentenced N100k fine each and 14 days community service and compulsory isolation.
The ruling was presided over by Chief magistrate Yewande Aje-Afunwa at the Ogba Magistrate Court.

The couple was picked up at their residence in Amen estate after she held a parlour party to mark JJC Skillz birthday and they were taken to court.
The court found her guilty of holding a gathering with over Twenty persons as against the directive.
The charge reads;
Fans on social media heavily criticized this and the award winning actress took to social media to apologize to her fans.
When the coronavirus epidemic worsened in Nigeria and Lagos. The Federal Government gave a directive that Lagos, FCT and Osun state should go on lockdown and citizens were instructed to stay away from gatherings of any sort. The Award winning actress was one of those who were signed by both government and private agencies to spread the word on the importance of Social Distancing and the need to stay indoors.
But on Saturday 4th of April, the actress went contrary to all the directives and went ahead to host the party. Fans called her out and on Sunday 5th April, she was arrested and sentenced.

Funke Akindele and her husband arraigned to Magistrate Court this morning. ************ They sentenced today to 14 days community service hours. This entails: 1. They must work 3hrs per day except Saturday/Sunday 2. They must visit 10 public places to educate people on importance of COVID19 lockdown 3. They must submit the names and phone numbers of every person who attended the party. 4. They will pay a fine of 100k each They shall be placed on isolation by the State Government to determine their COVID-19 status.
