GUS was a survival type reality TV show that highlights the struggle of contestants between the ages of 10-30. They contested with themselves and with the jungle (nature).

The show first premiered in 2004 and thrived all through to 2012 before going into a long hiatus. In 2016, the Gulder Ultimate Search show hinted on returning after disclosing this to journalists at a ‘Meet and Greet’ in Lagos.

Nigerian Breweries Corporate Affairs Director, Mrs Sade Morgan, said the show was paused due to the cost of running it but stated that plans are on the way to return it to the delight of Nigerians.

Some Nigerians are of the opinion that the show has greater value both in Content and economy than the Big Brother Naija show.
