The trailer of the new film which starred Adesua Etomi Wellington as the lead actress has received a lot attention the past few weeks that it is almost impossible to ignore the buzz.
The first of its kind to grace our screens. We see the spirited Adesua show peculiar martial skills and a top-class delivery of the excellent acting skills that she is known for in this intense action blockbuster movie.
The film, written by Unoma Nwankwor, directed by Kevin Nwankwor, is centered around human trafficking and follows Muna, who finds love after being trafficked to Europe and has come of age.
The movie is set around a young woman, a victim of human trafficking,who learns new skills to battle the human trafficking ring in Europe that has affected various people of different races across the world.
Muna’ is a Nollywood-Hollywood action crossover which has received a lot of positive reviews particularly because of Adesua’s performance in the action movie.
The recently released trailer of the movie has Nigerians and even Africans excited about the direction the movie industry is going.
Although there has been some criticism that the plot is similar to “columbiana” an Hollywood movie featuring Zoe Saldana as the lead also focused on vengeance.
While some critics have said the trailer is over-hyped, we await the full movie before we make our comment.
