Veteran Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, was invited by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission over alleged abuse of dollars during her daughter’s wedding.
Iyabo Ojo’s daughter, Priscilla, married her lover and Tanzanian singer, Juma Jux, on April 17th, 2025.
The wedding, which was the talk of the town and buzzing on the internet, with many Nigerian celebrities and the elite gracing the occasion.
With many viral videos capturing guests spraying money in the video, though the currency sprayed is dollars and not naira.
In other to address her invitation by the EFCC, Iyabo Ojo explained her encounter, the interrogation after honouring the agency’s invitation.
On her Instagram, Iyabo Ojo addresses her fans, “I was asked questions relating to my personal biodata, career, work experience, and my companies, amongst others.
“I was asked if I knew this was illegal, and I explained that I only thought abuse or mutilation of naira was an offense.
“The EFCC clarified that spraying money on people’s bodies is prohibited. I was surprised to learn that spraying any currency, including dollars, is also not allowed.”
