Mildred Okwo is a Nigerian film director and producer Mildred Okwo has made some comments about Nollywood entertainers who produce a lot of movies but have no savings for when they really need it especially for medical emergencies.
In her tweet, she slammed the profession in general because there are some Nollywood producers that cannot afford to have 1million naira in their account even though they have churned out about the movies.
This must be a reaction to the trend of Nollywood producers and actors coming out to seek help from the general public when they need a huge sum of money for medical reasons as we have seen in the past. Despite having 100 minutes to their names. She expressed her concerns about entertainers that do not make enough money and do not have financial reserves to fall back on.

Mildred Okwo is an award-winning producer and director. She was nominated for Best Director award at the 4th Africa Movie Academy Awards. In 2012 she directed the romance comedy-drama film The Meeting which won several awards including Nigeria Entertainment Awards, Africa Movie Academy Awards and Nollywood Movies Awards.
