Netflix in Nigeria is not a totally new thing though. In 2018, Netflix took a step into the industry with the purchase of Genevieve Nnaji’s directorial debut Lionheart. Since them it has acquired films from reputable Nollywood filmmakers such as AY’s Merry Men, Kunle Afolayan’s Mokalik and a host of others even King of Boys
It is no doubt that the appetite for Nigerian content is growing and film makers are hurrying to cash in.
