Nollywood Actor and Politician Desmond Elliot Turns 46 today 4th of February. Here is what you know about the Nollywood A List actor.
Desmond Oluwashola Elliot
The veteran Nollywood personality has become nothing short of a household name. He began playing movie roles as early as 2000 and worked hard and consistently to place his name at the top of the shelf. Compared to his contemporaries at the time, Desmond is one actor who always managed to stay in the Nollywood news free from scandal and without going out of relevance.
“He has over two hundred movies and TV series to his credit. Everyday People, One Too Much, Wale Adenuga’s Super Stories and Saints and Sinners. In fact, just see the list.”
As his career unfolded, Elliot dabbled into a number of things and it seemed grace followed him everywhere. He tried his hands on directing and producing films such as Finding Mercy, Survival of Jelili, The SIlver Spoon, Lagos Cougars and so many more!
Then in 2014, he took people by surprise when he announced that he was running for a seat in the Lagos House of Assembly under the All Progressive Congress (APC) and won the Surulere constituency.
What many may not know is that though Desmond Elliot had the acting skill and charm to keep you glued, the man studied Economics in Lagos State University and graduated in 2003 before abandoning the profession to pursue a career in acting.
In 2005, Desmond reveals, in an interview with The Daily Sun, that his choice of acting as a career path was first inspired by a friend who thought he was cut out for the entertainment industry. He prayed about it and everything else is history. Read the full interview here.
He is currently happily married to Mrs. Victoria Elliot and they have four children together.
He recently shared a photo of himself on his Instagram page and everyone got excited with how huge the one time skinny actor had become.
