2020 is just a few months in and the Cinemas already have an amazing line up of Nollywood Movies Coming Soon. Releases you need to look out for. NollywoodInsider brings you the best of latest Nollywood movies 2020.

  1. Fate of Alakada

The latest addition to Toyin Abraham’s ‘Alakada’ franchise and features a crop of artists including Broda Shaggi, Davido, Peruzzi and the latest BBNaija Winner Mercy Eke. It is also a collaboration with FilmOne! And it is directed by Sugar Rush Director Kayode Kasum

Fate of Alakada promises to be a really pumped up movie. Let’s just hope it lives up to the hype when it premiers this April

  1. Namaste Wahala

The Nollywood-Bollywood collaboration is for sure a movie to look out for and it is fast approaching. Namaste Wahala tells the love story of an Indian man and A Nigerian girl who fall in love and desire to get married despite opposition from both sides. The film features RMD, Joke Silva, Broda Shaggi and a host of other outstanding acts. The film is written and Directed by Hamisha Daryani Ahuja and is a mix of both Hindi and Nigerian Pidgin.

Set for release this April

  1. The Oratory

The Oratory is Obi Emelonye’s latest flick and is sure to hit the cinemas with a new feeling. ‘The Oratory’ is a movie about a Black-American Catholic priest who struggles to find his purpose. After he finds inspiration from the life of Don Bosco in Rome, he begins on his journey of a life dedicated to helping others (specifically the youth) in a place he’d never thought he’d go, Africa. It features Enyinna Nwigwe and several other stars and from the trailer, Obi Emelonye captures a brilliant picture.

  1. Ratnik

The much anticipated Ratnik is Dimeji Ajibola’s long awaited sophomore feature film. The science fiction film, distributed by Bluepictures, will open in cinemas from April 10, 2020.

‘Ratnik’ stars Osas Ighodaro as a brazen special trooper who returns from the war-front to find her only sister on the verge of becoming an undead following the release of a certain chemical substance. It also stars Bolanle Ninalowo, Adunni Ade, Karibi Fubara, Tope Tedela, Paul Utomi and Meg Otanwa.

  1. La Femme Anjola

Set in Nigeria Lagos, West Africa and Cape Town, South Africa, “La femme Anjola” (the woman Anjola) is a neo-noir crime thriller about a young male stock broker whose life is turned upside down when he falls in love with the wife of a wealthy gangster. From the award winning Director of THE MEETING Mildred Okwo, the film stars stars super star actress Rita Dominic (76), Nonso Bassey (Battleground), Mumbi Maina (Sense 8), `Femi Jacobs (The Meeting)


  1. Our Jesus Story

A Nigerian interpretation of the biblical story of Jesus Christ would sure be a good sight to see. Our Jesus Story gives us a Frederick Leonard as Black Jesus and recreates the story

of Jesus Christ. The movie features Nollywood Veterans like Zack Orji, Eucheria Anununobi and Sam Dede.

Set to premier 27th of March!
