The founder and director of Coal City Film Festival, Uche Agbo has announced the date and venue for the 2025, much-anticipated film festival. The film festival will be held on 27th-29th March 2025, in Enugu, Nigeria.
This announcement has set the stage for another groundbreaking edition of Nigeria’s premier film industry event. Uche Agbo has also expressed his excitement about the diverse range of films set to screen at the festival.
The lineup of feature films in this year’s selections is impressive, it comprises; documentaries, short films and animations from talented filmmakers across Nigeria, Africa and beyond.
These films are meticulously chosen based on their storytelling, technical excellence, more important their cultural relevance.
While speaking in the final selection, The founder, Uche Agbo stated, “Coal City Film Festival has continued to serve as a global platform for filmmakers to showcase their talent, engage with industry stakeholders, and celebrate African storytelling. The 2025 edition promises to be our most vibrant yet, with an incredible mix of emerging voices and established filmmakers.”
Coal City Film Festival has grown into one of Nigeria’s leading film industry events, it also features panel discussions, workshops, networking sessions and masterclasses facilitated by top-tier professionals in the industry.
Additionally, in this year’s 2025 edition, CCFF will introduce new industry initiatives aimed at fostering collaborations and investments in the African film industry.
One of the highlights of this 2025 edition, is the prestigious Coal City Awards, we will be recognizing outstanding achievements in filmmaking, acting, directing and other key categories, which will further cement the festival’s commitment to vomiting excellence in cinema.
