In the wake of xenophobia attack in South Africa few months ago, a lot of Nigerian celebrities expressed their disapproval and disdain over the killings of foreigners. Popular musician , Burna Boy, also known as African Giant, on his tweet explained how he was a victim of a xenophobic attack and why he has refused to go to South Africa in the last two years and his grouse with South African rapper, AKA.

Burna Boy said: “Ok. I have been away from social media personally until today. Ordinarily, at a time like this, I should come here and say something to try and calm the situation because my Dream has always been to Unite AFRICA and make us realize that Together we will Literally rule the world…

But Today After watching the Killing of my people in South Africa the same way we have all watched it happen a few times in the past. FUCK ALL THAT! I personally have had my own xenophobic experiences at the hands of South Africans and because of that…..I have not set foot in SA since 2017. And I will NOT EVER go to South Africa again for any reason until the SOUTH AFRICAN government wakes the fuck up and really performs A miracle because I don’t know how they can even possibly fix this. And @akaworldwide I knew you was retarded but I didn’t know it had gotten this bad. Next time I see you you better have a big security bro, On Gambos Grave ur gunna need it”.

Burna Boy is to headline the African Unite Concert in South Africa . AKA in his tweet said he doesn’t mind Burna Boy coming to South Africa to perform at the event, but he demands an apology from Burna Boy for saying he would beat him up when he sees him.

His tweet regarding the rapper AKA caused a lot of wild talks on twitter , because he claimed he was going to deal with the rapper whenever he meets him. Also some believe he is going against his vow never to step foot in south Africa until the issue of Xenophobia has been tackled.

Some reactions on twitter: “But Burna Boy said he will never step his foot in South Africa unless the South African Government performs a miracle on the Xenophobic attacks.
So why is he going to SA? Has the SA Government done anything to curb Xenophobia? Where is the miracle? And why are you defending him?”

Another tweet says : “Burna said he will only enter SA if the government makes a change, the govt is organizing a show tagged African Unite and he’s billed to perform, isn’t that enough changes?”.

Don’t know how this will turn out ,but we hope both celebrities reconcile their differences.
