Told from an Afrocentric perspective, “Talisman” revolves around Ukie who is entangled in an obscure cobweb of motherly love woven by his adoptive mother, Amanda. A provocative encounter forces him into a shocking realization of his true identity, one that leads to an even more shocking end.
‘Talisman’ tackles adoption, child abuse and the mystery of cultural identity and hope to open a series of avoided yet important conversations. The movie stars Elijah J. Fisher, Lorilyn Wubben, Nnamdi Kanaga, Luke Minton, and Edeh Chinyere.
Talisman is written/directed by Nnamdi Kanaga and produced by Isreal Mckinney Scott.
