Nollywood actress and director Toyin Abraham has been faced with online criticism for promoting a store that sells fake Birkin bags.
The actress was dragged by a fashion critic and shopper, T20luxry, because of a video she shared online.
She was featured in a video where she was promoting a store that sells duplicated fashion items (allegedly). The fashion critic claims the store only sells fake Birkin bags.
T20luxry accused Toyin Abraham of using allegedly fake and pirated items, also promoting the brands for more visibility.
The fashion critic showed where Toyin was speaking against piracy in movies and how much effect it had on her, but used her words against her.
T20luxry wrote:
“Dear Toyin Abraham,
“As an actor as an actor that knows the negative effect of piracy, why are you using pirated items and also publicly endorsing a brand that sells pirated fashion items? And also, why are you describing fugazi with luxury.”
Toyin Abraham joins the long list of celebrities that have been called out for using fake or pirated fashion items, which includes Iyabo Ojo, E-money, and Opeyemi Famakin the Food Critic.
